The next war will be religious!

Are you religious? Many people are, but the events, in the news, that change the world, are not religious. For example, people argue about climate change, gender orientation, vaccines, money and economics, race, and what did I miss?

Religion doesn’t usually get the lead story in the secular news.

That was true, but just today, world news started changing. By the time you read this, you will probably know a lot more than I do right now.

Apparently, Iran has fired hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel, and until now there have been no casualties mentioned. The casualty is world peace. One sovereign nation is starting a war with another one, and both sides have the weapons and the soldiers to make this a huge conflict.

This has the potential to be very serious, and to change the history of the world. Apparently, BitCoin has suddenly lost value. Clearly, some investors are following the news.

We all know this is very serious. World War 1 started with the assassination of one Austrian prince, and the new crisis in the Middle East is a much bigger event. We all hope the violence can be contained, but this has the potential to escalate into a world war.

With all the secular differences that divide us, a religious book tells us how the end of our civilization will come. Two things will happen: 1) nations will begin large-scale wars, and 2) the topic will be religion.

1) “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.” (Matthew 24: 7 and 8) … and … “So I looked, and here came a white horse! The one who rode it had a bow, and he was given a crown, and as a conqueror he rode out to conquer.” (Revelation 6: 2) [This is also known as the first horseman of the apocalypse, the beginning of the end.]

2) “Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. ” (Matthew 24: 30) … and … “Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen. ” (Revelation 1: 7)

So, large-scale wars, and religious motivations.

That religious book is the Bible, and it tells us about the end. The ancient prophets started telling us about these events, that mark the end of our time in history, or the beginning of that end, the first of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. The oldest writings that we have are about three thousand years old. The newest ones are about two thousand years old.

I just checked the news on my phone, and more than 300 missiles (including ballistic) and drones have been launched against Israel.

In modern history, we quarrel about secular issues, and we try to keep the violence and keep it local. Those prophecies about kingdoms and gods seemed like fairy tales. They were interesting, but not relevant to modern times.

And now we have turned a corner in world history. The attacks against Israel are from one nation to another, and the motivation is purely religious; it’s all about God.

The religion, in this case, is Islam, and Shia Islam in particular. Iran is the largest and best-organized center of Shia Islam. Allies of Iran include the Houthis of Yemen and Hezbollah on the northern border of Israel.

I recommend looking into this.

The politics are complicated, and I was never appointed to be the judge. We can all form opinions about the details.

I believe it’s important to see the big picture; something that doesn’t fit in our modern times, and looks like a story from the Bible, is suddenly happening. It just started.

We were promised, two thousand years ago, that “all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him.” We will all understand the spiritual significance of these sudden events.

God is doing something.

We also have these words in that religious book: “But when these things begin to happen, stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21: 28)

“These things” are starting to happen, as I write this. A few decades ago, it was impossible to attack Israel, the nation only began in 1948. Also, in our secular world, we try to contain national violence.

Something strange is happening, and we seem to be going back in history.

It is time to look up.
